This book covers Laura's life from age 14 to 15. Laura gets her first job, helping make shirts in town. De Smet begins to grow and events such as literaries and revival meetings are held. Almanzo also begins escorting Laura home from events. This book and These Happy Golden Years are my favorite books in the series. I like Laura becoming more adult and the budding romance.
