Halpern does a nice job of capturing the essence of family-based comedy - it's snarky, but in that loving way that only people who've lived their lives together can have. Halpern's dad has good style, and even good advice buried under his salty-sailor approach.

What a heartwarming, hilarious book. Even more so when you grow up around men like this. I did laugh - a lot more than I thought. My favorite story being the one when Dad takes Justin to a conference, where he played 'Froggy" under the chairs!
However, that being said, this book is full of profanity and for some readers it will be too distracting to make it through the book.

Absolutely hystercial. I kept waking up the kids reading this one because I couldn't stop laughing.
