Kat (A Journey In Reading)
I really didn't know if I would like this book. Having said that, about 20 or so pages in, I was drawn into it. I finished it in less than a day. Lots of twists and turns and when you think you have it figured out, all of it changes. I really enjoyed it. ...more

Perhaps I built it up in my head or I was psyched out by the preview for the upcoming movie, but I did not find it as suspenseful as the reviews claim.

Lehane makes really fine use of language here - every word is carefully chosen to enhance a certain mood or feeling, and the attention to detail shows. A swift and engaging read.
