*Spoiler alert!* After reading the excellent Mortal Instruments trilogy, I went into this book with pretty high expectations and unfortunately I was slightly let down. Aaaaaaaaah I need the next book!!

Jennifer Brooks, a BookTuber passed away a couple of weeks ago. She reviewed some interesting classical works, and her passion for books inspired me. The Infernal Devices trilogy was one of her favorite series. I had read City of Bones, over a decade ago, and kind of liked it, but not enough to continue the series. I doubt that I am the target audience for Clare's books.

Clockwork Angel is a young adult novel that has something for everyone: a bit of romance, a bit of steampunk, a bit of vampires, and a bit of paranormal suspense.
The novel is set in Victorian London, England. While Clare's writing does lean towards simplicity, she successfully bring the reader into her world with a mix of both historical reality and steampunk/paranormal fantasy.
