Some of you may be aware of the recent made for television remake of Flowers in the Attic that aired on Lifetime back on January 18th of this year which in fact prompted me to read the novel that inspired it.

While I found this book difficult to put down, I found it deeply disturbing. I ended up hating this book and found it imposible to believe that a mother could treat her children this way. This book stayed with me for some time and continued to disturb me. I found myself wishing that I had not read the book. For these reasons, I do not recommend this book.
