I just haven't decided what I think of this book yet. There are things I like - Pirsig's voice is quite good: Thoughtful, accessible, with cool, refreshing imagery. The mix of what Pirsig refers to as Chautauqua with narrative, however, is not really appealing to me. Similar to Leadership and Self-Deception, this book has anecdotal philosophy / values and I find that that delivery is not my favorite. Ok.. actually I wanted to give this book 2.5 stars LOL but decided to round it up to 3 stars because I appreciate the author's effort in writing a philosophy book in a fiction/travel story packaging. If not because of this kinda book, I wouldn't want to read about Socrates, Aristotle, the difference of "classical" and "romantic" thinking, etc etc. I haven't event finished my "Sophie's World"!

A good read about how to figure out what's important in life using motorcycles as the reference point. Some people have had their lives changed by this book; I was not one of them, but I enjoyed the experience.
