What Members Thought
When I first read The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in undergrad (before the movie version -- yeesh!), I was enamored with the aspects that I now recognize as steampunk. Nemo's Nautilus alone was enough to sell me on the book as a whole. Mina's fashion also helped greatly. I still love the gadgetry and the depiction of urban settings. However, having re-read the book a decade later, I find that I don't super love the story. I feel as though more could be done with the characters even in this
