What Members Thought

This is one of the most beautiful, endearing short stories I have ever had the pleasure to read. It's characters, even the city itself, have become close to me and I wish them well in everything. I find myself thinking wistfully on their lives and where they are going now, long after we have parted. Will we ever meet again as old friends sometimes do and talk together of what has happened since? Will we not spend an afternoon or our own white night learning of what has become of one another.

I haven't had a Dostoevsky since uni and this had my current preferred length of a book, lol. So relatable and evergreen, being friendzoned and friendzoning.

I'm a huge fan of Dostoevsky, and despite his general wordiness, this story was engaging and ultimately heartbreaking.
