One of the better books in the series that I've read in awhile. Actually, I listened to it on audio, and Patterson really uses audio to his advantage here. There's gunfire, explosions, different readers interacting, and even music that signals when something sinister is about to occur.

All in all, a fun book that I would recommend on audio for fans of the series.

After the brutal slaughter of an old girlfriend and her family in D.C., Alex goes to Africa solo in pursuit of her murder(s) and fights very sadistic, evil international killers and CIA agents gone bad. Strains credibility to the breaking point. Stick to working the streets of D.C. detective Alex Cross.

Read this on Audiobook - I think this book was by far the most violent of the Cross series. I hope the next one is toned down somewhat.
