I can't say I enjoyed this venture into Provence as much as A Year in Provence, but I did look forward to picking up this collection of stories each night. Mr. Mayle has a knack for bringing me into the place with smells and sounds and, especially, tastes of the area. I always feel I've had a little vacation when I finish one of his books. ...more
