Not my thing.

This is the third book I've read by Shin. I love her writing style, and to be honest, I can't decide between this or I'll Be Right There is my favorite by her.
I think what these characters go through when they find out that their mother is missing, is something we all go through, particularly when our mother dies: who is this person we call mom? Do we know who she is outside of our relationship with her?

This book is very good. It's about a Korean wife and mother who goes missing. Each part of the book is told from a different perspective of someone in the family. I teared up a few times while reading this book, because the mother reminds me of my mother and her mother, making me realize that there really aren't many mothers who are like them anymore, including me, and I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or not.
