I'm pretty sure I read this at some point in my school career, but 30 years ago is a long time and the morality tale of the portrait that preserves youth, while showing the inner man is enough in the collective consciousness of our culture that an episode of Episodes on Netflix references the story in regards to an actress who never seems to age.

Given that the starring system doesn't allow for halves, I am giving this book 3.5 stars. Sacrilege I know, but I have my reasons. I have wanted to read 'Dorian Gray' for a very long time as I was intruiged by the idea of a man who essentailly sells his soul and erodes his conscience for a life free of ageing and regret.
