Seriously do not ever go near an Oracle. It is the *worst* idea ever. I enjoyed this one more than Oedipus Rex.

This is a classic and will always be one of my favorites, what with the duality of peace/war, right/wrong, and love/hate. It is amazing how the story is almost a mirror image of itself from every angle, but most is impressive is the unnatural oppositeness of it all: burying people alive, not burying the dead, etc.
As anyone who attended high school with me knows, Antigone sparked a long love affair with...well, Antigone. But also other Greek stuff. I read it when we were out of school for what seemed like weeks for an ice storm, and probably wrote 30 pages on our assignment for it...my poor English teacher!
