I am not a huge Agatha Christie fan. The actual mystery and how it’s solved is usually excellent, but other than than that, I find the story to plod along. This book was no different, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Poirot comes out of retirement to work with the local doctor to solve Ackroyd’s murder.
I recommend this book.

Book 1 down in the #24in48 ! Great cozy mystery for a rainy day; this is a Christie I hadn’t previously read. A couple of unfortunate racial comments, but the book was written in 1926 so I grimaced and moved on. Good mystery, surprising ending!
One of my faves, and even stronger coming after the Hallmark-ish previous book. I like re-reading this to look for easter eggs, knowing the ending.
