This book has been on my shelf for about ten years. Frequently I'll hand on some of these books, knowing that I will never read them, but for some reason, I held on to this one and I'm not sure why.

The pretense of the story is okay, but Edith is one of the worst characters I've come across in recent reading. The people she finds herself associating with are detestable.
