Great book. However, while closure is satisfying, Dickens meanders a bit at the end tying up loose ends. And Dora. please! nuf said.

As always with Dickens, it’s impossible not to be transported by his colorful cast of characters. David is an honest, charismatic and delightful boy, then man, who is a bit too trusting and naive, but who makes the best of every situation and has a heart of gold. It’s impossible not to fall in love with him. At the other end of the spectrum is “I’m so very ‘umble!” Uriah Heep, who must be one of Dickens’ most treacherous villains. I loved parts of it, but the last 300 pages were tedious. I'm glad I finished it!
