A very cheerful book about living in a gulag and how different things become normal. Yet it makes us question why this system became normal and how the main character can go peacefully to sleep at night.

I can't believe how much information was conveyed about these work camps by simply describing one day. It was also amazing how simple pleasures can make for happiness in such a situation. A great reminder to be thankful for the many blessings in our lives. ...more
