I liked this story much better than the first book in the series, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, because I thought that the overall plot/storyline was well done, and I really enjoyed getting into Lisbeth's backstory. The second book is a tight follow up to the first book and takes the characters into what happens after their adventures in the first book have ended.
I was a bit bummed out by the cliffhanger ending, but at least I can get my hands on book 3 in the trilogy. I still think that it' ...more

I'm glad I read the memoir Larsson's friend wrote before I read this one. There are many incidents in this book which are very much like things that happened to the author in real life.
