This was wonderfully atmospheric, with beautiful writing and a classically Gothic plot: Rebecca meets The Yellow Wallpaper.   The story was fun: spunky girl goes up against an evil house.

 As she moved closer, the hum grew stronger.

Rather a departure from my normal reading but thoroughly enjoyed it. Creepy yet entertaining and somewhat predictable. 3.5 stars

A fun, and very classically structured, horror story. I liked the environmental themes. I wish there had been a bit more of Mexican culture woven in.
