Aurora (Roe) inherits a house and a substantial sum of money from Jane Engle. Jane's house is broken into and Aurora finds a surprise hidden in the window seat. Jane's cat Madeleine also returns and has kittens. This book was short but so boring. There really is no mystery investigation. Roe spends most of her time dithering about her love life, cleaning Jane's house and deciding what to do now that she has money. The "mystery" is solved by the culprit randomly confessing at the end of the book ...more
