Oh my goodness I fell under the spell of this book and fell HARD! The first 15 or 20 pages didn't thrill me, it was too much of a "chick lit" vibe and I wasn't overly fond of the protagonist, Lucinda. But after that, woohooooo. They work in the same office which makes for some wonderful comedic situations. And a lot of tropes are hit for all trope-hungry readers: enemies to lovers, Canadian shack, only one bed, fake dating.
And then, round about the middle, it sort of sags. It becomes a little predictable. The last part especially, centred around the protagon ...more
