a wonderful book, a great start to a new series (yay). Olivia is a composed young socialite, doesn't seem too vain, and doesn't seem to take herself too seriously. Her life does a complete 360 when she discovers that she is adopted in a horrendous way; the media jumps at her with the news! The media is also sensationalizing her natural parents, who are serial killers imprisoned for life. The paranormal aspect is slowly introduced, and very well done.
