I very rarely abandon books. I often wander off purposelessly and don't end up reading the rest, but I rarely make a decision, after about 50 pages to just set it aside and move on.
I was so looking forward to this book, but the first 50 pages I found repetitive, not literary, and it's just not one of those books I see myself regretting at the end of my reading life having left unread.

Raunchy story with unlikeable characters and a writing style that’s trying much too hard to be clever. Really didn’t like this one, couldn’t finish it.
