This second installment in the Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series was an enjoyable read. I enjoyed the development of the greater arc of the story. The only aspect that detracted a bit was that the abrupt, cliffhanger end felt like this was not self-contained and that it needs the final book to make more sense.

Not as exciting or as deep as the first book. The danger never seemed to be as present and there wasn't as much weight to the decisions the characters had to make.
