I really enjoyed The Red Tent and I was looking for a similar book, something that takes a woman barely mentioned in a famous, historical piece of literature and tells her story. Lavinia is the second wife of Aeneas, briefly mentioned in the Aeneid, and when I saw that LeGuin was the author, I thought I'd really hit the jackpot. At first I was disappointed.
