I read this as a child, at least a million years ago lol. I know i loved this sad story then, but don’t know how I’d rate it as an adult.
I loved this book when I was growing up. I used to dream that someday I would live in Switzerland! Such a sweet story.

Maja Dusíková is one of my favorite illustrators. This edition and her adaptation of Bambi are both beautiful and the text is excellent, too. My children love these books (and I do, too!)
