Well, THAT was unputdownable! The only question left is - which Francine Rivers book do I want to read next?

I'm a bit concerned that the other books on my TBR list this month will be a let-down in comparison.

I'm normally a person who doesn't read romance novels, but I think Francine Rivers has changed my mind about that. Last month I read The Masterpiece and this month Redeeming Love - so I've got to keep going. The thing is that even though they are thick books (400+ pages) I read them fairly q

Update: I watched the movie last night and it was so good! A wonderful story of faith and forgiveness, determination and love. I don’t remember what I didn’t like about the book, but I think it had something to do with modern thoughts written for characters set in the past. Apparently I had zero patience for that lol.

I read the first 44 pages and decided not to read any more. I'm sure it could be a good book, but it's just not my cup of tea.

Another book that was just what I needed. Not all happiness and light, but a book about the power of love. No one is ever beyond redemption. Thanks for the recommendation Heather!

The message of this book deserves 5 stars but the writing was pretty trite in spots. The Biblical allegory was handled nicely but it read too much like a romance novel for my taste. The second half of the story was better than the first.

Really enjoyed parts of this book however felt like a lot of it dragged along and some parts were insufferable.
