This was the first book chosen for my new book group -- so I will add more once we have a chance to meet in two weeks. This was also my first Octavia Butler book, which makes the score higher since partly I am just so thrilled to have read anything of hers. There's something eerie about reading a dystopia set this year and it being so prescient because it's too close to reality for comfort.
