I feel as if I have won the jackpot with all of the incredible reads that I've experienced over the last few months. Once again, I've found a true gem in this book about reincarnation, eternal love and revenge. If you think that this description makes the book appear to be a sappy love story, then you would be mistaken. This book is quite cerebral in its approach to these time-tested themes.

2.5 Stars. I am highly disappointed. The name of the author of "The sisterhood of the traveling pants" is written on the book but I can't find her loveable storytelling in it. What was missing: the feeling. The connection to the characters. Good characters. Plot. I mean: the idea was great. I'm a fan of reincarnation stories but this was a really bad one. And the end - what shall I say? It came very abrupt and suddenly. It literally screams for a second part (which seems not to come).

I liked the premise. I thought this book though gave too much background info. In fact the whole book was background and stuff only started happening in the last 1/4. Also I thought it was inspired a bit too much by The Time Traveler's Wife, there were many points in the book where it sounded very similar! ...more
