I am not into love stories, but I am interested in coming of age stories. I thought the situations depicted in this one were fairly realistic for a high school aged crowd, but today, I don’t think that mistakes made that impacted the student council activities would have happened. I was surprised at what a well written love story this was though. I had only picked this up because it was a banned book and wanted it to fulfill a challenge: glad I read it. It stands the test of time.
