So far this is my favorite Gabriel Allon novel of the ones I’ve read. The suspense is great.

Very interesting read. I had never read Silva before, but his writing style is very good, and the plot engaging. Although a work of fiction, there is some underlying truth in that Silve presents in the book, which he describes more fully in the postscript.

This was the first Gabriel Allon book I read back in 2007 and it is still my favorite. It has everything: the Vatican and the Ccaribbean settings, the girl (Sarah), the Painting (a Van Gogh), and the terrorists. I enjoyed it as much the second time around.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the series is the way the characters grow and change over time while still being influenced by the events of their pasts.
