narrative style doesn’t bother me in the least bit... but... even when written in first person... must every other sentence in every other paragraph star with “I...”???? it gave the unconvincing main character even less depth by casting a narcissistic shadow over her... half way through the book my interest in what happens to claire or degas or aiden or anyone else actually, had withered to nothing, leaving just annoyance.... two stars for the art related content... i will not be picking up any

I have very little artistic talent and don't frequent art museums much. This book taught me a great deal about art forgery techniques and what is legal or illegal in regard to copying art works. A fascinating read.

This was a quick read and the story kept me really interested. The writing was average, and I'm not sure much about it will stick with me, but I'm glad I read it. I read it for a book club, but turns out I was supposed to read another book by this author. Oops.
