Pretties by Scott Westerfeld begins after Tally's had her operation. Her mind has been wiped of her days outside of society. She though has this nagging feeling that something has changed. Tally is finally pretty, but she feels like something might still be missing. She isn't as easy to please as the other pretties. She hopes to become a Crim, part of a cool clique that will help her feel like she belongs, but at the party where they plan to vote, a mysterious stranger appears and starts a chain of events that will change everything.

I didn't like this one as much as Uglies, but it was still pretty darn good, for all of that. Definitely bubbly-making. ;)
