Yet again Kim Harrison brings an action filled book that really makes you want to know what happens next (I happen to love Jenks). However, I think I have finally put my finger on what irritates me about the writing - a lack of follow up on details. At one point, someone attacks Jenks and he is passed out, maybe dead. This book is the fifth in the Rachel Morgan series, and boy, does it pack a wallop! Weres have been turning up dead in the Hollows, and when the FIB calls Rachel in to help the investigation, she comes to suspect the murders may be related to a cursed artifact in her possession. I really liked this latest book and this remains one of my top series. There's some good foreshadowing of the short lifespan of pixies, and the heroine doesn't seem to be blooming powers with every other chapter. The author did surprise me with a character death in this book - still a bit sad about that one - but I'm looking forward to the loose ends in this one cropping up in future books.
