Harry Dresden is fast becoming one of my favorite book characters. I listened to the first book a while back and I always wanted to get back into the books.

After what happened in the first book Dresden hasn’t heard anything from Murphy in a while and his job as been pretty dead.

Not Jim Butcher's best, but still a solid read with some interesting new characters and a whole slew of werewolf fun. The story jumped around between a few different plot lines, which made it feel a little disjointed, however those plot points do eventually link up at the end.

Ok well, I've tried and tried to get into this series, and low and behold I just can't get through this torture. That may be harsh but it's just a boring and strung out story, and the narration is sometimes annoying. I know a lot of people love it, so good for you, I wish I could get into it. Book #2 in the Dresden series was just ok for me. I am wanting to finish the series but I am concerned that the story will lose the allure as the book series number increases. The entire story was interesting enough, however, the characters and plot were extremely predictable.

There wolf, there castle. Heh, I do like how Butcher throws in inside jokes and doesn't explain them. I'm not sure I like how I get a lot of them. ...more

Second book in the series. A better plot but I agree with Cheryl that the narration of James Marsters is the main attraction.
