Maybe I'm getting too easy on books these days, but I've been reading a real string of good ones. Gaiman's always a reliable author, of course (and there are other books I've started but given up on, which I don't review), but this one was a stand out for him. The book takes place in a bizarre underworld of London, one which coexists with the London we know, but which all of us normal people just don't perceive. A normal person from our world is thrust unwillingly into this other world, and he m

Fabulous. Gaiman never seems to disappoint me. I completely enjoyed this sort of gothic-like Alice-in-Wonderland; With his intelligence, wit, and imagination, the reader cannot help but be drawn into the world which he is creating. His writing is so tactile & real, he is a master of story-telling. Loved it, Loved it!

This was my first "graphic novel" I guess that is what this is considered. I picked this one up as it was my turn to pick a book for me and my man to read. I loved every bit of this book, its so visually stimulating. . I loved the idea of the historical parts of London. I hear this is a bbc series, so I can’t wait to watch it, I hope it follows the book visually. I would say Door was my favorite character in the book, they never did say her age but I imagine a teen. I totally recommend this book

I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Interesting concept. I really didn't care for Richard. He was a major wiener that whined and cried at every drop of the hat. I realize that he was put in a terrible position but sometimes you just have to say "I'm bigger than this". I must say I am glad it ended the way it did. Door was a good character and the Marquis was great. I truly liked Vandemar and Croup. Now, those are some seriously bad boys!

Excellent as always Mr. Gaiman! A man stumbles across a strange wounded girl one day on his way home form work and his whole life changes. The girl turns out to be from an alternate world that exists just below the surface of our own. It has fallen angels, bounty hunters, monsters that guard mazes, tragic heros, creepy and sadistic assassins... What more could you ask for?

I read Stardust and it was ok but Neverwhere was awesome. I loved the characters and the plot. I couldn't put it down. I would highly recommend.
