5.0 stars. Absolutely superb introduction to one of the top 10 best SF characters ever created, Miles Vorkosigan. Highly recommended.

Miles VorKosigan fails to get into miltary school due to failing the physical test because ofhis brittle bones. He visits his maternal grandmother on Beta colony and proceeds to get himself in to trouble.
The book is all about the adventures he gets into from deciding to buy a cargo ship to save the pilot and transport a load of goods to a war torn planet.

Ah, I really enjoy this series, I like Miles Vorkosigan a lot. I am happy that I read Cordelia's honor first, it really gives a nice background on Miles as well as all the other characters.

While this may not be high-end lit, I have to say it seems to me, to be high end space opera, lol if there is such a catagory. It is a guilty pleasure to read, pure escapism at its best. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book to see what happens to Miles next.

Another great plus to reading this series
