OMG! Why didn't anyone enlighten me about this series sooner? I bought the first book last week and LOVED it. I bought the rest of the series today. It's rare that I buy an entire series after reading one book. It's also rare that I'm reading this type of genre. Her writing is mesmerizing, funny, spicy, etc...

The character Anita isn't annoying, but she certainly isn't spectacular either. In fact none of the characters were all that great. The only one that I looked forward to seeing was Jean-Claud. I'll try a couple more though, maybe they'll get better. Or maybe I'm just a sucker for paranormal books.

This is a borrowed book from a fellow Nook owner.
Fun book - the main character has moxie and a dry sense of humor - my kind of gal. Lots of gore, blood, sex, and a few murders to make the story complete. Will definitely look for the next in the series.
Great start to a good series. Anita Blake is one of the best heroines I've ever come across. Snarky, human (give or take), and sassy. Tamer than the later books.
