While I never expected to be blow away by Asimov's prose, I also didn't expect it to be quite this bad. (My opinion of Silverberg's writing is somewhat more complicated; at some point I was impressed by his prose, but I'm at this point not sure if because of my youth or what). Regardless, eventually the story gained momentum and took hold of me, and I couldn't put it down until I finished it.
