On Caroline’s first night in her apartment she thinks everything is perfect except she hears: “Oh, God.” Thump. “Oh, God.” Thump Thump. Caroline is right ticked with her sex crazed neighbor who brings not one but three girls to his home for interesting performances before leaving town for weeks on end. When finally it’s too much and Caroline can’t take the thumping anymore she goes to confront her noisy neighbor in her pink nightie. Now suddenly the two are meeting at every turn and while they didn’t hit it off right away…like at all they quickly realize the attraction between them, but will Simon’s amazing bed thumping powers be able to wake up Caroline’s O? I think so.

Hehe moments:
Oh my goodness so I found this book on another blog and after reading their review I just had to get it. I read it in like one sitting and this book had me in giggling fits. I swear some of the scenes in this book are so freaking hilarious right from the beginning I just couldn’t not fall in love with Wallbanger. The characters are hilarious and just the many crazy circumstances that happen like water exploding from both the tub and kitchen while both characters are practically naked? Hilarious! Oh and the cat…*sigh* well I don’t want to spoil anything.

Holy Hotness:
Simon whew he is one sexy man! I mean seriously he works out and likes to cook and is a great lover!! (Okay that totally sounded like I know from person experience.) Seriously though Simon is yummy:

“He had jet black hair that stood up straight likely from the Giggler’s hands buried in it as he plowed into hwe. His eyes were piercing blue, and cheekbones just as strong as the jaw. (…)I gazed down his long, lean bosy. He was tan, but not a premeditated tan-outdoorsy tan, weathered tan, manly tan. His chest rose and fell as he panted.”

Hello peeps yum yum yum right?

Awesomely relatable characters:
While I didn’t think I would relate too much to any of the characters I did. Caroline was perfect with strengths weaknesses and crazy friends. She’s such a strong woman and never beats around the bush with what’s going on or how she’s feeling and I really related and enjoyed that.

Growing relationship:
While many of the books I read are generally YA with insta-love and insta-attraction and yatta yatta yatta Wallbanger was definitely not like that. While the two characters were instantly attracted to one another they didn’t like each other and throughout the story they grow as friends and then as something more than friends…you know boyfriend and girlfriend who have great wallbanging sexy time. I definitely relate to that and I think from time to time it’s nice to have no insta-love or love that’s easy because in real life it’s not so yeah definitely liked that the author and the characters took the relationship slow.

All in all:
LOVED IT! Honestly I couldn’t have read a better book. Definitely great humor, relatable characters, great writing and amazingly swoon worthy scenes that will leave readers fanning themselves because I know I was. I would definitely recommend Wallbanger to anyone looking for a relatable humorous love story. Wallbanger is definitely one of the best adult romance fiction books I have ever read and so you should definitely go read this. ...more

I can't believe how accurate my review in 2012 about "Wallbanger" was. I mean, I can because it's absolutely true. I do love the book, and I have read it many times lo all these years.

I totally missed that the film adaptation came out in April (not sure how I missed this but I did) so while watching it (quick review - they did a fine job of bringing the good stuff to film - especially Clive) I became overwhelmingly nostalgic for the book and the continuation of the romance in the s ...more

This book is more than good. I love every aspect in it, the story, the writing, the characters, I even love their dialogue, including their banter and their text messages. It's so hilarious I cannot imagine how Alice Clayton wrote it.

At first I didn't really wanna read this book. Yet, after waiting for a while, I decided, why not?

I am so glad I picked this up! I cracking up from page one! I love it! Caroline reminded me of Darynda jones' Charley because she named some of her body parts. Lol I gotta say, I really liked every character of this book.

I adored this book! After being completely heart broken by Taking Chances i needed something to make me feel better and Wallbanger was perfect for the job. It had me literally laughing out loud through out the whole book. Simon and Caroline are confident in themselves so the drama was kept to a minimum which was quite refreshing. Funny and very romantic, i strongly recommended this book.

This was on the funnier side. I loved the male lead he is a 10 on the looks?/personality factor. BUT as for the female Caroline, i liked her i did at times. Other times not so much. If i had to hear about her O one more time i was going to kick her in her mechoo pechoo!
