Jennifer Weiner is a fantastic writer. Whenever I read her books, I feel as if I am part of the story. [SPOILER ALERT:] Without giving away the end...let's just say that this book made me cry. Okay, for those of you who know me well, know that I cry at commercials. But this book was definitely a tear-jerker. And a definite must-read for daughters who wonder how they are possibly related to their mothers.

Good book, but a bit hard to follow. Each chapter switches to a different character, telling the story from her point of view. You will see a daughter, going through adolescence, preparing for her Bat Mitzvah, when she learns a secret about her mom. And a mother who is trying to steer her daughter in the right direction to woman-hood. Not her best, but still a good read.

I love this author and I loved the first 'Cannie' book titled Good in Bed. But I had a hard time getting though this novel,which surprised me.

The first novel I read of Jennifer Weiner was Good in Bed and I loved it. However, it's been many years have passed since I read it so many of the details of the first novel are hazy. I believe this was actually a good thing as I was able to enjoy the novel on its own merits.
