Blown Away.

I've had time to think on this story, and I can't come up with the beautiful words on how I feel. Tiffany Reisz isn't just an erotica writer. She's a gosh damn story teller. She weaved a fantastic tale of love, betrayal, deceitfulness, murder and hatred. Those are the few that I can get out tonight. I absolutely loved this story. Witty, Entertaining and Captivating!

The Bourbon Thief is a story within a story and it was the inside saga that captured my fascination as opposed to the mystery of the bourbon thief.

"I'm a Kentucky girl," she said with a graceful shrug.
"And bourbon's like the truth, you know"
"How's that?"
"The first taste burns, but once you get used to it, it's the only thing you want in your mouth"

As the storyteller delved deeper into the story as to why an exceptionally expensive bottle of bourbon is so impor Witty, Entertaining and Captivating!

The Bourbon Thief is a story within a story and it was the inside saga that captured my fascination as opposed to the mystery of the bourbon thief.

As the storyteller delved deeper into the story as to why an exceptionally expensive bottle of bourbon is so important to the thief, the reason for telling the story was soon forgotten. I found myself immersed in Tamarra's life. She was a determined young lady who, when she set her mind to something, followed through on it. At times she had a naïve outlook and would get her own way through manipulating others, partially through selfishness but as she matured it was her sense of justice that guided her decisions. Whatever it was, the result was a captivating story.

This book won't be for everyone. It has some disturbing moments. There are plot twists that had me squirming, to say the least. One in particular towards the end had me wanting to pretend I hadn't read what I had read. Thankfully not long after, there was a change in the perspective of the story which meant it was no longer the focus. It's important to note that the tone of the story was optimistic and told through witty and thought challenging dialogue.

The Bourbon Thief is the first book I've read of Tiffany Reisz's apart from The Original Sinners series. Although this was a different genre, it still maintained the witty charm I have come to associate with Ms. Reisz's writing. I went into this story excited and unsure. I am glad I read the story, as it took me on a journey I hadn't been on before. It had me cringing, smiling and questioning my opinion on the various subject matters broached. While I didn't get a book buzz, The Bourbon Thief did leave me pondering several aspects raised in the story. Books such as this are a reminder that reading is such a worthwhile past time.

4.5 March 2021 group/buddy read with the Gotta Have Romance with a Kick group.

WOW, what a story. There is an awful lot to unpack in this book, which although is revolved heavily around an epic love between two people, is not actually what I would call a romance. This is my second Tiffany Reisz book and it won't be my last - she is an excellent storyteller as proven here, but I must admit to being limited in the books of hers that I want to read because the majority of her catalogue, the BDSM hea ...more

This was a total shocker love lies and intrigue. Total rollercoaster ride and really not sure what the truth is. Highly recommend if you have a strong stomach for (view spoiler)
