What Members Thought
The first book in the Alex Cross series was fascinating. It only compounds my love of Patterson's writing. The story: two children are kidnapped by a psychotic madman, or is he psychotic? Is he really a sociopath who cares nothing about being famous or is he a normal run-of-the-mill guy suffering severely from multiple personality disorder? Okay, so it was a great murder mystery--no surprise from Patterson. But, I was not very pleased with the main character(s). I won't be starting up this series. Found them unbelievable, over the top (DC black crime, black PhD detective who decided to keep living in SE DC). Couldn't relate to them. I'll just keep reading Patterson's other stuff.
