Finished this off tonite, by way of audio. I truly enjoyed it - all of it. I was really surprised at the way the end of the novel came around. I guess there's more - there's gotta be.

I liked this book. However, I think the review someone left (on the inner flap of the book) that says it's a cross between Cinderella, Star Wars and The Terminator is a bit out there. I picked it up partially based on that quote alone.
I want to tell you that if anything it reminds me of Cindrella + aspects (not the story) of Blade Runner. There are androids, there are people, and the main character who is trying to figure out where she lies: human or android.

A cyborg retelling of Cinderella. Want your jaw to drop even more? It is set in a place called "New Beijing."
(Apparently, the author of "The Selection" and the author of "Cinder" need to get together and discuss their Sinophobia.)
So far, it's fine--best part is the discovery of Cindrella's carriage. (You'll know it when you see it.) ...more

Unexpectedly fun and fabulous read. Just a great time in which the world is engrossingly imaginative and where Cinder is a great character to follow. Storyline was, of course, very predictable, but that comes with fairytale re-tellings and the story moved at such a quick pace that it wasn't too grating. Also, I really loved the ending!

It wasn't exceptional but it was quite entertaining.
