Alex and her mom ran away from the Covenant three years earlier. She would never give Alex a real reason why. Now her mom has become the victim of one of the daimons. Daimon's crave and feed off of the aether in the blood of the pure bloods. Half-bloods don't carry as much, but can still fall victim to them as well. The advantage the half-bloods have is that they can see though the daimons glamour and are therefore greatly suited for being Sentinals, which are trained to kill daimons. And Guards ...more

I loved Alex; shes funny and impulsive and i thought i'd never get tired of love triangles coz most of the greatest books i've ever read have them. But i found myself losing my patience while reading this book because it was finally beginning to get monotonous. The climax of the story was also disappointing and the point at which the story ended didn't inspire me to want to read the next book in the series ...more
