It was really fun to read and pretty quick, a short book by my standards.
I know so many who have read the book and either hate it or love it. I have to say I'm on the "love it" team. I was slightly biased though before I began, as I saw the movie first. The only problem that caused was that reading it was almost like "reading the movie". Still it was different enough to enjoy and the additional bits of narrative was wonderful.
