A wonderfully odd book that shares similarities to a number of other things I've read, but yet is not derivative in the least. de Bodard as crafted something uniquely hers with the mixture of Vietnamese and French cultures into the feast of a book. I would highly recommend this for those looking for something slightly different for their next read. ...more
