This book wasn't that bad. It is a classic and I loved seeing sci-fi elements that have been reused constantly over the years in novels such as Ender's Game and Independence Day. That being said, I probably would have liked this book more if I was a 13-year-old male. It's definitely a guy's book. Pretty much everything I like about this book was related to nostalgia as it reminded me of Ender's Game because I absolutely LOVE Ender's Game.
