What Members Thought

This was a really enjoyable story for me. Reminded me of the LOTR trilogy which is one of my favorites. The descriptions of places and characters was well done and the adventure the group went on was good.
However, I think the story would have been fine without the last chapter, or if that had to be included, shortened quite a bit. Kind of brought me up short like it was tacked on. Still, it was a really good story and I have the next in the series which I'll get to. ...more

Criado muito (demasiadamente?) na senda de um Senhor dos Anéis, e com o intuito de "povoar" o universo RPG de Dungeons & Dragons, a história deste primeiro (de muitos) livro da sério Dragonlance não sobressai particularmente de outros no género da Fantasia Épica.

I read this book many years ago as a teenager, and recently re-read it with a group of friends. I was worried that it didn't hold up well over time, but I was actually surprised that I enjoyed it so much. Yes, it has some old D&D anachronisms, but it was a decent read.
