Loved it. Hope it does become a series
Welp. I take back every negative thing I thought or said about this book. Like the first Mistborn book, I just had to be in the right mindset to get past the beginning of things into the good stuff. I forget that with Sanderson's books, it takes a bit to get the world and magic system described enough for me to be engaged. I "read" this as an audio book during different trips in the car so in some respects it was a bit more of a disjointed read than it should have otherwise been - however with that being said, this like all the other books by Brandon Sanderson is simply excellent. The premise is new and interesting and how the story progresses is excellent. I'd love to know if there is a sequel to it as there is quite a bit more that can be added to the universe and I really look forward to reading it if it ever i
